Brief description:
Tarong Energy, owned by Queensland government, is one of the main energy producers in the Australia state. It operates two coal-fired power plants, Tarong and Tarong North, and the Wivenhoe hydro-power station. It also owns Meandu coal mine, close to the Tarong power stations, as well as coal resources in the Surat Basin.
