Swan Hills Synfuels is a private company formed in 2005 to explore a full spectrum of gasification technologies and business opportunities in the Swan Hills area of Alberta, Canada. It began securing coal resources in 2006 and launched an ISCG demonstration project at Swan Hills in 2009. A commercial scale ISCG venture is scheduled to begin operations in 2015.
