CO2 ReMoVe

Brief description:

The CO2ReMoVe project, financed by the European Union's Sixth Framework Programme supporting research, was concluded in 2011. Its work was intended to created a scientifically based reference for the monitoring and verification of CO2 geological storage. This had two objectives - to prove the long-term reliability and safety of geological CO2 storage and provide the R&D necessary for the development of essential guidelines and standards for policy makers, regulators and industry.

The project was led by a consortium of industrial, research and service organisations with experience in CO2 geological storage.
