Brief description:
The Petroleum Technology Research Centre is a Canadian not-for-profit research and development organisation with offices and laboratories in Regina, Saskatchewan. It was founded in 1998 by Natural Resrouces Canada, Saskatchewan Industry and Resources, Saskatchewan Research Council and the University of Regina, with support from the western Canadian oil and gas industry. It was formed to manage the Weyburn-Midale CO2 Project, the Joint Implementation of Vapour Extraction (JIVE) project to develop, demonstrate and evaluate solvent vapour extraction processes for EOR at heavy oil reservoirs in western Canada, and the Aquistore Project, a CO2 storage monitoring venture.
