Brief description:

National Grid is an international electricity and gas company which produces energy for customers in the UK and north east USA. It is one of the world's largest investor-owned energy companies. Recognising the impacts of climate change, it has adopted a low carbon business model and is supporting the development of low carbon energy.

National Grid is involved in a number of projects around the UK involving the cluster approach to CCS, where it can deploy its expertise in designing, constructing and operating multi-user pipeline systems. It is also developing a saline formation storage site in the southern North Sea - known as 5/42.
