IEA GHG R&D Programme
Brief description:
The IEA Greenhouse Gas R&D Programme is an international collaborative research programme set up in 1991 by the International Energy Agency (IEA) to study and evaluate technologies that can reduce greenhouse gas emissions derived from the use of fossil fuels. The programme’s main activities are evaluating technologies aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions, helping facilitate their deployment, disseminating data and results from evaluation studies, and facilitating international collaborative research, development and demonstration. Its members include 19 member countries, the European Commission and OPEC, as well as 21 multi-national industrial sponsors. The programme maintains an online database of known R&D projects worldwide.
