Brief description:

Fluor delivers engineering, procurement, construction, maintenance (EPCM), and project management to governments and clients in diverse industries around the world. Founded as a construction company in 1912, it now works in diverse industries, including chemicals and petrochemicals, government services, life sciences, manufacturing, mining, oil and gas, power, renewable energy, telecommunications, and transportation infrastructure.

The company has commercial plant experience in CO2 capture technologies. Its Econamine FG Plus technology is a CO2 recovery process is designed to capture CO2 from low-pressure, oxygen-containing streams. Fluor's solvent formulation and advanced reclaiming techniques allow the technology to work in 'hostile' environments, such as on boiler and reformer stack gas and gas-turbine flue gas streams. It tested its capture process at a natural gas-fired power plant in Bellingham, Massachusetts, owned by Florida Power & Light from 1991 to 2005.
