Brief description:

CO₂ Solutions is addressing this challenge as the leader in the field of enzymatic CO₂ capture.  Our patented technology allows for the efficient capture of CO₂ from large stationary emissions sources such as coal-fired power plants and aluminum refineries, while leveraging existing solvent-based gas scrubbing approaches already known to industry. In turn, we are lowering the cost barrier to Carbon Capture and Sequestration (CCS), positioning it as a viable CO₂ mitigation tool, as well as enabling industry to derive profitable new products from these waste emissions.

CO₂ Solutions just received a $4.7 million grant from Natural Resources Canada to support the development and piloting CCS solutions for the Alberta oil sands.
