The Office of Fossil Energy’s Carbon Sequestration program has invested more than $300 million on pre and post combustion capture technology research, development, and demonstration. CO2 pipelines are currently being constructed.
The project is a combined ten-year effort with the US Department of Energy’s (DOE). The plant has the ability to capture 90% of the carbon dioxide.
